Keya Tama

Keya Tama Is a South African artist based in Los Angeles.

He has painted murals around the world and shown with galleries around the world since the age of thirteen. His style can be described as ancient contemporary minimalism as his work aim to reunite old and new through contrasting yet unified iconography.

 When Street Art Goods reached out they mailed me dyed wool samples. These helped inform the vision of the painting. Then once the colors where chosen I knew it had to be something simple yet have flow and balance. This piece is part of a much larger series of work though with I explore emotions through the reiteration of animals and their riders. My hope would be to further explore this theme with Street Art Goods in future.
